The Unfriendly Giant

This traditional German childrens’ tale is about an unfriendly giant who lives in a forest, and is eating everyone who passes through. A dwarf tries to show him the error of his ways, and seeks help from a friendly giant. The unfriendly giant won’t co-operate and even goes so far as to kill the friendly giant. The tale ends when the unfriendly giant dies and people can again walk through the forest. The illustrations are done as a collage of watercolour and pen + ink pieces, layered on top of each other.
